Netanyahu pulls out of Sharm el-Sheikh peace summit

Israel’s prime minister canceled his participation in the peace summit scheduled for today in Sharm el-Sheikh.

His office said Benjamin Netanyahu will not participate in the peace summit scheduled to be held in Sharm el-Sheikh today.

According to his office’s statement, Netanyahu thanked President Trump for his invitation but said he would not be able to attend because of the approaching holiday. The prime minister also thanked President Trump for his efforts to broaden the circle of peace — “peace through strength”.

This came after Netanyahu was invited to the summit less than an hour earlier and had confirmed his participation.
