Saraya al-Quds source: Group committed to ceasefire arrangements

A senior source in the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, said they handed over a number of prisoners on Monday morning in implementation of the ceasefire understandings.

The source told Al Jazeera on Monday: “We are committed to the ceasefire understandings as long as the occupation adheres to them.”

He said the steadfastness and resilience of our people led to the achievement of freeing our prisoners and to stopping the war.

On Monday morning, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), released 20 live Israeli prisoners and handed them over to the Red Cross in Gaza, as part of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” prisoner exchange deal.
