Hamas hands over bodies of four Israeli detainees to Red Cross

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said on Monday evening it will hand over the bodies of four Israeli detainees in the Gaza Strip to the International Committee of the Red Cross as part of the exchange deal under the Sharm El-Sheikh agreement.

Al-Qassam posted on Telegram that it will hand over the bodies of the following detainees: “Jay Eluz, Yossi Sharabi, Bevin Joshi, Daniel Perez”.

Today, Al-Qassam released 20 Israeli detainees in two batches and handed them to the International Committee of the Red Cross, in implementation of the ceasefire agreement on Gaza signed in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh.

The Israeli detainees were released in three successive phases at designated points inside the Gaza Strip, with the first batch released at 8 a.m. from the Nitsarim area.

The second batch was at 10 a.m. from Khan Younis and camps in the central area, while in the third batch four bodies of detainees in Gaza were handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross as part of the exchange deal.

The Al-Qassam Brigades had published a list of the living detainees who would be released today as part of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement.
