Al-Khamisa News Network - Gaza

On Wednesday evening, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, handed over the bodies of two Israeli captives to the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza.

The handover was part of the deal that previously saw the release of 20 living Israeli captives and the transfer of the bodies of four others, while the brigades continue working to recover the remaining bodies, saying the operation requires significant effort and specialized equipment to ensure safe retrieval.
In a statement, the Al-Qassam Brigades said the resistance adhered to the terms of the prisoner-exchange deal, asserting that it had handed over all living captives and any recoverable bodies in its possession.

The Al-Qassam Brigades said the remaining bodies require substantial effort and special equipment to locate and retrieve, noting that it is making intensive efforts to close the file completely.

On Tuesday, the Al-Qassam Brigades handed over the bodies of four Israeli soldiers to the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza city, as part of steps to implement the terms of the recent ceasefire agreement.

This came two days after the release of 20 living Israeli captives, a move that underscores Al-Qassam’s commitment to the agreement despite field and logistical challenges linked to recovering the remaining bodies.

The Al-Qassam Brigades said the bodies handed over belonged to Gai Iluz, Yossi Sharabi, Bevin Joshi, and Daniel Perez, noting that the remaining soldiers’ bodies require significant effort and special equipment to recover.
