Al-Khamisa News Network - Gaza

Preparations are underway to open the Rafah land crossing in the coming days as part of a phased operating mechanism that will begin with the transfer of wounded and injured from the Gaza Strip.
According to informed sources, the first phase of operations will allow 50 wounded people to travel daily accompanied by their escorts, with priority given to the wounded and holders of Egyptian passports.
After about 10 days of the trial operation, the travel mechanism will be gradually expanded to include other categories of citizens.
The Palestinian Embassy in Cairo will coordinate and organize the return of Palestinians stranded in Egypt to the Gaza Strip at a rate of 200 people per day.
