Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor: Israeli occupation deliberately refuses to recover hostage bodies to use as bargaining chips

Dr. Rami Abdu, head of the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, said that indicators available over the past days confirm that the Israeli occupation is deliberately refraining from retrieving the bodies of its hostages in Gaza, with the aim of using them as a pretext to continue policies of oppression and subjugation against the Palestinians.

Abdu pointed out that one of the clearest signs of this behaviour is the occupation’s prevention of bringing in the equipment and rescue teams needed to recover the bodies of victims and missing persons from under the rubble, despite days having passed since the ceasefire.
