Gaza Health Ministry: Received remains of 45 Palestinian martyrs from the International Committee of the Red Cross; identification underway
Dr. Mohammed Zaqout, director general of hospitals at the Gaza Strip Health Ministry, announced the receipt of the remains of 45 Palestinian martyrs from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), coordinated with the ministry and under conditions that respect the sanctity of the martyrs and their bodies.
Zaqout said a specialised committee has begun work to identify the remains, noting that some of the remains are clearly identifiable while others are difficult to determine without technical procedures.
He added that the ministry has not yet received any official list of the martyrs’ names from the ICRC, stressing that it will publish the list as soon as it is obtained to enable families to identify their relatives and complete burial arrangements.
