Media adviser: Near-total destruction of education sector; 85% of population lacks habitable living conditions

An adviser to the Government Media Office in Gaza said the Israeli occupation destroyed more than 95% of schools, institutes and universities in the Gaza Strip during the offensive, in a systematic targeting of the education system.

He added that about 85% of the Strip’s population live in an environment unfit for habitation as a result of infrastructure destruction, noting that the occupation also systematically targeted the health sector, which led to the collapse of Gaza’s essential life systems.
