U.S. State Department: Trump ended 8 wars in 8 months

Al-Khamisa News Network - Gaza

The U.S. State Department posted a controversial message on the platform “X”, describing U.S. President Donald Trump as the “President of Peace” and saying he had ended eight wars in just eight months.

The department attached the post to a photo of Trump waving as he disembarked from a plane, along with a list of countries or parties it said he had helped end conflicts between.

The list included: Cambodia and Thailand, Kosovo and Serbia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, Pakistan and India, Israel and Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, and Israel and Hamas.

The post read: “The President of Peace who ended 8 wars in 8 months”, referring to what the department called Trump’s achievements in advancing global peace.

But U.S. media outlets, including The Associated Press, questioned the accuracy of those claims, saying many of the conflicts had not actually ended and that some agreements reached during Trump’s tenure were symbolic or fragile and did not result in a lasting halt to fighting.

Reactions on social media were mixed, with some viewing the post as a tribute to Trump’s role in international politics and others seeing it as an attempt to polish his image through exaggerations that were not grounded in the on-the-ground reality.
