World Food Programme announces it will provide food to all Gaza residents for three months

The World Food Programme said it has the food, teams and networks to feed all Palestinians in the Gaza Strip for three months, provided the ceasefire holds.

It said in a post on X that it is ready to scale up food assistance to Gaza following the ceasefire that came into effect on Oct. 10.

The agency added: “We need sustained access and a stable operating environment so we can continue our work and reach everyone across the Strip.”

It continued: “We have the food, teams and networks needed to feed all Palestinians in the Gaza Strip for three months,” stressing that “the ceasefire must hold to achieve this.”
