Local sources reported that occupation forces launched an arrest campaign during their raid on the city of Bethlehem and a number of its towns, including arrests of former prisoners.
Among those arrested were identified as Yahya Saada, Ismail Al-Zeer, and Sheikh Hassan Al-Wardian, who had only recently been released. His freed son, Mahmoud Al-Wardian, was also arrested, although his second son, Islam, was arrested yesterday, according to our correspondent.
The occupation forces also arrested the released prisoner, Hussam Abu Diya, from Beit Sahour, and the prisoner released in the recent exchange deal, Saeed Hermas, from Bethlehem.
In Jenin, in the northern West Bank, young Zaid Habib Barakat from the town of Faqqu'a was arrested, and young Hussam Habis Bani Odeh was also arrested after raiding his home in the town of Ya'bad, southwest of the city.
In the al-Hadaf neighborhood near Jenin refugee camp, occupation forces arrested freed prisoner Bahaa Qasrawi after severely beating him and vandalizing his home, according to eyewitnesses.
In Tulkarm, a young man – whose identity has not yet been determined – was arrested following a raid on his home in the city's western neighborhood.
In Qalqilya, in the northern West Bank, occupation forces raided citizens' homes and arrested Marwan Daoud and Ahmed Shawer after searching their homes.
These arrests come as part of an escalating campaign carried out by occupation forces on an almost daily basis in West Bank cities and towns, amid human rights condemnation of the escalating physical attacks on detainees and the vandalism of their property during raids.
