The Rocket League Title at the 2025 Esports World Cup Goes to French Team Karmine Corp

French team Karmine Corp secured their first title at the 2025 Esports World Cup by winning the popular game Rocket League tournament, which began on August 14 and concluded today at the stc Arena in Riyadh Boulevard City.
The competition featured 16 teams from around the world, with total prizes exceeding one million dollars.
Karmine Corp clinched the title after a strong performance throughout the tournament, remaining undefeated until the grand final where they defeated the Saudi team Geekay Esports 4-1.
The French team received the $400,000 first-place prize from the total pool and earned 1000 points in the club championship standings. Additionally, their Moroccan player dralii was named the tournament’s MVP by Sony and awarded a $10,000 cash prize.
Sami Haji “dralii” became the only player to win the Rocket League World Cup title for two consecutive years.
Haji won the title last year with his former team Team BDS.
The 17-year-old player said after being crowned MVP: “Winning the title for the second consecutive time was my main goal before the tournament started, and I am very happy to have achieved this goal.”
He added: “My message to aspiring and upcoming esports players is to follow their passion and keep playing.”
Haji noted his consistent high-level performance in tournaments held in Saudi Arabia, attributing it to the great comfort he feels there as well as the warm reception and hospitality. He confirmed that the Esports World Cup is an exceptional event in every aspect.
The Saudi team Geekay Esports received the $180,000 second-place prize along with 750 points added to their overall score.
Saudi performance continued impressively in the Rocket League tournament as Team Falcons defeated Team Vitality 4-3 for third place in a direct clash among the top-ranked club teams. This victory awarded the Saudi team 500 crucial points, putting them at the top of the leaderboard with 4700 points, surpassing Dutch team Team Liquid which stood second with 4200 points.
Rocket League was the 22nd tournament in the 2025 Esports World Cup, concluding the sixth week of events, which also featured three other tournaments: TeamFight Tactics, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, and TEKKEN 8.
The gaming and esports community now awaits the start of the seventh and final week of the global event, which will crown the club topping the overall standings as the ultimate champion.
