Deliani: Israeli Extermination State Suffocates Medical Evacuations in Gaza

Dmitry Deliani, a member of the Revolutionary Council and spokesperson for the Democratic Reform Current in Fatah, stated, “The Israeli military decision besieging Gaza has turned medical evacuation into a slow death queue; more than 16,000 Palestinians are on waiting lists, and over 600 patients died before receiving their right to treatment because the referral process passes through an approval system controlled by the Israeli extermination state, making time a killing tool in addition to the tools of siege and bombing.”
The Fatah official added: “The World Health Organization’s warning is clear; at the current pace, it will take five to ten years to address the backlog of patients awaiting the occupation’s approval to leave the Gaza Strip for treatment, a horizon draining the lives of critically ill children.” He further explained the impact of Israeli assaults and restrictions on the healthcare infrastructure: “The care network in Gaza has been subjected to violent and deliberate dismantling by the Israeli extermination army; only 19 out of 36 hospitals are partially operational, and none are fully functional. Since October 2023, there have been 61,158 martyrs and 151,442 injured, with a significant rise in malnutrition deaths among children under five; the Israeli military and political decision determines who receives treatment and who is denied.”
Deliani concluded by emphasizing the urgent need to open monitored humanitarian corridors for patients and their companions, accelerate medical evacuations under UN supervision, restore the flow of aid and continuous hospital supplies, and lift Israeli restrictions to preserve the authentic right of our people to health and treatment.”
