Dozens of settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday morning from the Mughrabi Gate, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation police.
The Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem stated that dozens of settlers entered Al-Aqsa in groups and conducted provocative tours within its courtyards.
It was added that the settlers performed Talmudic rituals and prayers in the eastern area of the mosque.
Israeli police imposed strict restrictions on the entry of Palestinians to the mosque, questioned their identities, and detained some at its gates.
Meanwhile, the guards of Al-Aqsa were prevented from approaching the settlers during the storming.
There are ongoing widespread calls in Jerusalem and the occupied Palestinian interior for residents to mobilize, remain vigilant, and stand firm in the mosque to thwart attempts by the occupation and settlers.
It emphasized the importance of increasing visits to Al-Aqsa and performing prayers there as a practical step to confront Israeli measures and break attempts to isolate the mosque from its social and religious surroundings.
Al-Aqsa Mosque continues to witness assaults and stormings by settlers and occupation police in an attempt to change its religious and historical reality and impose Judaization facts.
According to the Palestinian Information Center “Ma’ati,” the number of settlers who have stormed Al-Aqsa since October 7, 2023, until August 18, 2025, has exceeded 124,000 settlers.
