Yuli Edelstein: Anyone who does not value his country’s ties with Israel is doomed to collapse

Israeli lawmaker Yuli Edelstein said that “Israel is bound and committed to its international relations, alliances and agreements,” noting that engagement with countries around the world is “a key to success and growth,” but he added: “Not every country deserves to benefit from its relationship with Israel, and whoever does not value this relationship will face political and economic collapse.”

Speaking about Turkey, Edelstein said: “It is true that it is a cheap source of low-quality raw materials, but its economy has relied for years on tourism and Israeli industry,” revealing that he had previously discussed in the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee the need to seek a better and more beneficial alternative to Turkey.

He attacked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, saying: “He has tied his fate to Iran, a country suffering collapse, and he wants to lead his people toward economic collapse as well. He will soon discover what life looks like without Israel’s umbrella.”
