Political tourism in Doha: a revolutionary deterrent weapon

Al-Khamisa News Network - Gaza

Some may see it as a “strange coincidence” that the US administration’s Secretary of State Marco Rubio visited the usurping entity-state at the same time as the convening of the Arab-Islamic “summit” in Doha, in response to the Israeli attack on Qatar and the bombing of Hamas leadership headquarters — whatever the outcome of the strike — but fundamentally it closed the special-privilege file of the Gulf country, which had enjoyed a very distinguished position and played regional roles far beyond its real capacity, for purposes and goals aligned with the broader American project in the region, especially regarding Palestine.

Rubio, in the first hour of his arrival in Tel Aviv, went alongside the head of the Jewish fascist government, Netanyahu, to the Al-Buraq Wall, to declare without any ambiguity that it is an area exclusive to Jews and outside the scope of negotiation — a confirmatory stance of the Talmudic thinking of the Trump administration team, which is being promoted by Washington’s ambassador to the entity, the Kahanist Hacabi — with a clear declaration to complete the plan to annex the West Bank and Jerusalem, after Netanyahu announced his new steps within the (E1) plan, in response to the momentum of global recognition of the State of Palestine.

Marco’s positions contain nothing politically surprising; that is the essence of Trump’s vision for a solution: no Palestinian state and no Palestinian identity. What is surprising is announcing it hours before the start of the Doha summit, as if predefining for them the path of “thinking” before the path of “decision.” It seems his message arrived quickly, beginning with the speech of the Qatari prime minister — the country under attack — stressing the “strategic partnership” with America and moving to further strengthen it, with his country’s readiness to proceed with efforts for a “calm deal” in Gaza, i.e., Doha’s readiness to receive delegations from Netanyahu’s government, as if what had been was now in the past.

The address by Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman announced a prior pardon for the aggressiveness of the entity-state, which was quickly reflected in what was published about the concluding statement of the emergency summit in session, devoid of any step that could be called politically meaningful or leave a deterrent impact on the replacement state, content — as happened in the Security Council — with a sequence of photos and meetings and speeches that begin with threats to remove the brutal entity and end with “it was a mistake and must not be repeated.”

Elements of the “Doha emergency summit” statement confirmed without political ambiguity that the “great change” in the Middle East is proceeding steadily and confidently, according to the American-Israeli vision, and that the future central military power will be its umbrella. Therefore there will be no practical punitive steps against the occupation, confirming that the results of the “great change” process have begun to enter their final stage.

To consider the military strike on Qatar as threatening the “peace and stability in the region” is a reflection of the official Arab position and those aligned with it on how to confront aggression on the one hand — and that the genocidal war in Gaza for 710 days, along with building a complete apartheid settler regime plus annexation and Judaization in the West Bank and Jerusalem, was not threatening peace and stability in the region and the wider area.

The linguistically threatening statement of the “Doha emergency summit” is a real reflection of the end of the era of “political dignity” for states and entities before the enemy state… and it confirmed that “tourism policy” is their alternative deterrent choice.

Note: It seems the Hamas leadership entrenched in Doha has lost much of what remained of its mind… their statements that Netanyahu is not interested in the hostages and therefore they will not be more concerned than him… fine — what other card do you have to play besides that? Even though they were never important to him nor far from him… every day confirms that political stupidity is a genetic trait in every Muslim Brotherhood adherent…

Special note: Ben Gvir’s party is demanding the cancellation of the Oslo Accords… that’s not the story… but his request is because the Palestinian side violated the agreement unilaterally… the party whose leader personally participated in the assassination of Rabin in ’95 because he signed the agreement… he tells you the Palestinians violated it… this is “the mother of jokes”…
