Israeli forces arrest 14 Palestinians in West Bank and Jerusalem

Israeli forces raided wide and scattered areas of the occupied West Bank at dawn on Tuesday, simultaneously storming Palestinian homes, arresting dozens and subjecting them to “field interrogation”.

According to local residents, Israeli forces re-arrested released prisoner Hanan al-Barghouthi after raiding and searching her home in the town of Kobar, north of the city of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.

Local sources said Israeli forces launched a wide arrest campaign in Kobar, detaining dozens of residents and subjecting them to field questioning, while converting some homes into “military barracks”.
The sources also reported that Israeli military vehicles stormed the towns of Turmus’ayya, north of Ramallah, and the village of al-Mughayyer northeast of the city.

At dawn on Tuesday, Israeli forces arrested youths Jad al-Zeir, Majd al-Rasmi and Tamer Harsha after raiding and searching their families’ homes in the village of Qaffin, and detained Jihad Imad al-Sheikh Youssef Naalweh from the Shweika suburb, north of Tulkarm.

The prisoners’ media office said Israeli forces arrested Anas Jumaa Abu Awad from the town of Turmus’ayya, in addition to Yusuf Mishaal al-Barghouthi, Shadi al-Barghouthi, Hadi al-Barghouthi, Munir al-Abed, and Maher al-Barghouthi and his son Adham from the town of Kobar, north of Ramallah.

According to the prisoners’ media office, the arrests also included the teenager Arda Muhammad Jawabra from al-Arroub refugee camp north of Hebron, and the young man Muath Taha during the storming of the town of Qatanna northwest of occupied Jerusalem.

Last night, Israeli forces arrested Muhammad Hamed after a military jeep deliberately rammed his vehicle during a raid on the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah. The prisoners’ media office said the detainee Hamed’s health condition remains unknown.

Israeli forces raided the towns of Qaffin, Sayda and ‘Illar north of the city of Tulkarm, in addition to the al-Tabbal area in Qalqilya, the village of al-Lubban al-Sharqiyya south of Nablus, the al-Ayn refugee camp and the village of Beit Iba west of the city.

A correspondent for the Sanad news agency said Israeli forces stormed al-Arroub refugee camp and the town of Surif north of Hebron, and the village of al-Ramadanin south of the city, simultaneously with a raid on the town of Tuqu south of Bethlehem accompanied by a military bulldozer.

Our correspondent noted that Israeli forces raided a residential building on Mu’tah Street in the al-Jabal al-Shamali area of the city of Nablus, in the northern West Bank.

Last night, Israeli forces raided the village of Madma south of Nablus with a large number of military vehicles and ordered the owners of several homes to evacuate immediately, ahead of converting them into military barracks.
