Israeli forces arrested seven Palestinians, including a child, in pre-dawn raids on several areas of the Hebron governorate on Sunday.
Local sources said Israeli forces raided several homes in the city of Hebron and during the raids arrested the brothers Mehdi and Raed al-Sarsour, Yousef al-Hanini, Moataz al-Atrash and Yazan Abu Taima.
The forces also arrested young man Khaled Badran Jawabra from the al-Arroub camp north of Hebron after storming his home and beating him severely.
Mohammad Eyad Awad, a media activist in Beit Ummar, said Israeli forces raided the Qaa al-Hara and Abu Hashim neighborhoods, storming several homes, using police dogs to search them and smashing their contents.
Awad added that the 14-year-old Shams al-Din Saeed Saleh Za’aqiq was arrested during the operation.
During the raids on homes in the Abu Hashim area, clashes broke out between several youths and Israeli forces, which fired tear gas canisters, causing a number of residents to suffer breathing difficulties after inhaling tear gas.
