Gaza Civil Defense: Two Years of War and the Will Remains Unbroken

The General Directorate of Civil Defense in Gaza issued a press statement today on the two-year mark of the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, affirming the resilience of the Palestinian people and their determination to live despite killings, displacement and the blockade.

The statement said Civil Defense teams have continued to work around the clock since the start of the aggression, defying bombardment and hazards to save lives, recover bodies and protect civilians’ lives, despite limited resources.

The directorate expressed pride in the heroism of its personnel and their partners in the field among humanitarian service providers who continued their work under the most difficult conditions.

It affirmed that the war, despite its brutality, will not break the resolve of the Civil Defense teams, which will continue to carry out their humanitarian and national mission until the end, in loyalty to the blood of the martyrs and to the people of Gaza’s right to a dignified life.
