Israeli official: Elite fighters and four senior figures will not be released

An Israeli source said the deal does not include the release of fighters from Hamas’s Elite Brigades who took part in the October 7 attack”.

The source added, according to Yedioth Ahronoth, that the four senior prisoners Hamas demanded be released, including Marwan Barghouti, will not be released.

The source said the government will meet today to approve the agreement, and that once it is approved the Israeli army will withdraw within 24 hours to the agreed withdrawal line, which includes “the yellow line” and the additional adjustments Israel approved. Consequently, Israel will withdraw from Gaza City, and Hamas will release the Israeli prisoners within 72 hours, in a single batch and without public ceremonies.
