Israeli journalist: No victory in Gaza, Hamas remains in power

The “Israeli” journalist Avi Yissacharoff commented on Saturday, October 11, 2025, on the deployment of internal security forces in the Gaza Strip, saying: “This is how it looks, for those who were wondering: no victory, and no absolute victory — Hamas has remained in power in Gaza.”

He said: “It is a painful compromise (but necessary at present) given this government’s failure to translate the military victory into political change on the ground.”

He added: “It can be cautiously estimated that soon the fingers of blame for this failure will be pointed at the Supreme Court, the left, the Kaplan movement, the media, and the security establishment.”
