Tel Aviv estimates: Hamas racing to finalize deal before Trump’s arrival

Tel Aviv estimates that Hamas wants to accelerate the release of Israeli prisoners to complete the process by the time U.S. President Donald Trump arrives in Israel tomorrow, Monday.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, Israel is ready to move if Hamas wishes to speed up their release today or overnight, but no specific time has been set yet.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Hamas told Israel via intermediaries of the possibility of releasing 20 living Israeli captives today.

Hamas began this morning assembling the living prisoners in preparation for their expected release.

Israel estimates they are being held at several locations in Gaza and will be transferred in secure convoys for release. According to the report, Hamas is ready to start the release operation today.
