Prisoner exchange begins in first phase of “End the War” agreement

The prisoner exchange ceremony began Monday morning as part of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel.
International Committee of the Red Cross vehicles headed to Ofer prison in preparation for the release of Palestinian prisoners under the exchange deal with Israel.
Intensive preparations also began around the prison, including the organization of reception points and verification of security and logistical procedures, to ensure the safe transfer of prisoners to the agreed handover points.
Red Cross vehicles entered the Gaza Strip in preparation to receive a number of Israeli prisoners under the exchange deal, which is scheduled to be implemented in the coming hours.
Israeli media reported the release of 20 Israeli prisoners from Gaza in two consecutive batches, the first starting from the “Netsarim” area at 8:00 a.m., followed by a second batch from Khan Younis and the central camps at 10:00 a.m.
Footage showed a Red Cross vehicle in Gaza surrounded by a number of Palestinian resistance fighters.
A prisoner exchange is scheduled to take place between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation, in which the al‑Qassam Brigades will release around 20 Israeli prisoners in exchange for 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences and 1,700 Palestinians from Gaza who were detained after the start of the war of annihilation on the besieged Palestinian enclave.
Hamas today announced the names of 20 Israeli prisoners who are to be released as part of the prisoner exchange with Israel. They are:
