Dulayni: Gaza mirrors the core of the genocidal ideology prevailing in the occupying power’s society

Dmitri Delyani, a member of the Revolutionary Council and spokesman for the Democratic Reform Current in Fatah, said “what Gaza is witnessing is the embodiment of a genocidal doctrine that has prevailed in the society of the occupying state for decades and aims at ethnic cleansing through attempts to uproot the Palestinian presence from its roots.” He said “the genocide against our people did not begin in Gaza in 2023, but is a historical extension of a colonial project based on a purported religious superiority and a racist political doctrine, practiced by a criminal Israeli military apparatus that tramples everything that is human, and seeks to turn the Palestinian land into a void of Palestinian life.”

The Fatah leader said “more than 100,000 tonnes of explosives were dropped on the Strip since October 2023, so entire schools, universities and hospitals have vanished and neighbourhoods have been reduced to rubble. Ninety percent of Gaza’s population, roughly two million people, have been uprooted from their homes and repeatedly forced to flee, while water and sewage infrastructure has been destroyed by more than 70 percent — all part of a deliberate Israeli policy aimed at erasing Palestinian existence and replacing life with enforced silence.”

Delyani added that “Israeli colonialism does not stop at Gaza’s borders but extends to Jerusalem and the rest of the occupied West Bank, where arrest, confiscation and raid campaigns are widening at a pace that reflects the nature of a substitution project based on extermination and control.”

The spokesman for the Democratic Reform Current in Fatah concluded that “liberating Palestine requires a national will grounded in historical justice and legal accountability, and an international position that goes beyond statements to action. The struggle for steadfastness is, in essence, not a choice but a natural continuation of life in the face of extermination.”
