CNN: Hamas unable to locate the bodies of all hostages

U.S. network CNN reported that Israeli assessments indicate Hamas will not be able to locate all the bodies of Israeli captives killed during the war in the Gaza Strip.

According to the network, the intelligence assessment — conveyed by three senior Israeli officials — could significantly complicate efforts to reach a deal to end the ongoing war, and is based on intelligence reports and messages received from Hamas and mediators during repeated rounds of negotiations.

Sources said Hamas does not know the whereabouts of between seven and nine bodies of abductees, or is unable to pinpoint their locations accurately, while another Israeli source estimated the number at between 10 and 15 bodies.

Despite the differing estimates, Israeli officials agree this issue represents a major obstacle to the negotiations underway in Sharm el‑Sheikh and could affect the course of any potential final agreement.
