Australia bans MK Simcha Rothman from entering its territory.

Al-Khamisa News Network - Gaza

Channel 12 reported that Australian authorities prevented Knesset member Simcha Rothman, a member of the Religious Zionism party, from entering the country, a day before his arrival for the Jewish Community Conference.

Channel 13 quoted the Australian Ministry of Interior as saying: "We will ban the entry of anyone who spreads messages of division and hatred."

MK Rothman commented after being banned from entering Australia, saying: “The decision is anti-Semitic and supports terrorism, and is directed against Israel and Jews in Australia.”

Rotman is known for his prominent role in leading Israel's controversial judicial reform plan, serving as chairman of the Knesset's Constitution, Law and Justice Committee.

The decision comes as some Western countries tighten their measures against Israeli figures in the wake of the war in Gaza, which has sparked widespread international criticism over apparent human rights violations.

It's worth noting that Australia recently barred two Israeli soldiers from entering its territory and opened investigations into their involvement in war crimes or prisoner abuse during military operations in Gaza.
