Day 707 of the Gaza war: Dozens killed, new wave of displacement

Israeli aircraft continued heavy strikes across various areas of the Gaza Strip on the 707th day of the war, resulting in dozens killed and wounded and prompting a new wave of displacement from Gaza City toward central and southern Gaza.

Medical sources said more than 53 people were killed since dawn, including 36 in Gaza City, while civil defence teams estimated that about 50,000 people lost their homes over the past week after towers, houses and tents were destroyed.

Gaza and the north

Central Gaza

  • Injuries were reported after a displaced persons’ tent near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah was shelled.

  • Four people were killed in a drone strike on the Nuseirat refugee camp.

Southern Gaza

  • A series of raids on Khan Younis left 10 dead, including four in the Al-Katiba area north of the city.

Human toll

  • In the past 24 hours: 72 killed and 356 injured.

  • Since Oct. 7, 2023: 64,718 killed and 163,859 injured.

  • Since March 18, 2025: 12,170 killed and 51,818 injured.

  • Aid-related deaths: 2,465 killed and more than 17,948 injured since the start of the war.

  • Famine and malnutrition: seven new deaths (including a child) in recent hours, bringing the total to 411 deaths, including 142 children.
