Dozens killed and wounded in ongoing Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip

Israeli strikes on Gaza City and its various neighborhoods continued, killing 35 people and wounding dozens. Early on Sunday four members of the Dabbash family were killed when their home was struck in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in the northwest of the city, while five others were killed in a strike on an apartment on al-Nafaq (Tunnel) Street in northern Gaza. A woman and a child from the Abu Murad family were also killed when their home near the Friendship Club in the al-Shati (Beach) refugee camp was hit.

On Sunday evening heavy shelling killed eight people in Jerusalem Tower in the Al-Daraj neighborhood, while journalist Islam Muharib Abed and several members of her family were killed when their apartment at the Saraya roundabout was targeted. Two people were also killed in a strike that hit a group near Taj Mall in the Al-Rimal neighborhood.

In Jabalia al-Nuzla in the north of the Strip, Suhad Muhammad Khalla and her son Ahmed were killed in a drone strike, and a woman and her three children were killed in a strike on their home in the Bir al-Najjah area. Six people were killed and 79 others wounded among those seeking assistance in the northern sector. Gaza City also witnessed violent explosions on Monday morning after Israeli forces detonated a number of homes in the al-Zaytoun and Sheikh Radwan neighborhoods.

Central Gaza

The central Gaza area was hit by strikes that targeted the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, causing injuries. Yusuf Jabr, his wife Hiba Hamad and their daughter were killed when their home in the Bureij camp was struck, and three other people were killed in a strike that hit displaced persons in the town of al-Zawaida. Over the past 24 hours the death toll in the central area reached 30.

Southern Gaza

Twenty-seven people were killed in a single day across different areas of Khan Yunis, including several aid-seekers. In another tragic incident, Ahmed Muhammad al-Madani and his wife were killed after being run over by an Israeli tank east of Khan Yunis, while the Jordanian Hospital said it received two dead and 25 wounded from people waiting for aid.

Statistics

The Health Ministry said the number of people killed in the past 24 hours reached 88, with 421 wounded. That brings the toll of the offensive since October 7, 2023 to 63,459 dead and 160,256 wounded.

From March 18, 2025 until today the number of dead has reached 11,328, alongside 48,215 wounded. The number of people who died while waiting for aid rose to 2,248 dead and more than 16,600 wounded.

Separately, hospitals in the Strip recorded seven new deaths in the past 24 hours due to famine and malnutrition, bringing the total to 339 deaths, including 124 children.
