Al-Khamisa News Network - Gaza

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warned of the Israeli occupation’s systematic policy aimed at inflaming the situation in the West Bank and creating a state of chaos to push through projects of annexation, expansion and displacement.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued today, Friday, that international complacency encourages the extremist Israeli occupation government to persist in its illegal unilateral measures.

It noted that it is following up with states and elements of the international community on the abuses to which the Palestinian territories are being subjected, including collective punishments, closures, raids, home demolitions and the deepening of settlement activity.

The Foreign Ministry called on the international community and all states to undertake effective international intervention to protect the city of Tulkarem, its residents, homes and property from the occupation’s brutality and the collective punishments it has imposed on unarmed civilians.

It stressed that what is required is translating international consensus into practical steps to stop the occupation’s aggression and crimes and to establish a genuine political process to implement the New York Declaration and other decisions of international legitimacy.
