Gaza ambulance chief: extreme difficulty reaching victims amid severe Israeli escalation

The director of ambulance and emergency services in the Gaza Strip said Israeli forces are intensifying their targeting of homes and tents in the eastern areas of Jabalia, resulting in a large number of people killed and wounded.
He said ambulance crews are facing severe difficulties reaching the eastern areas, Jabalia al-Nazla and the al-Zeitoun neighbourhood to recover the bodies of the dead due to heavy shelling, warning that the occupation of Gaza City would cause a major humanitarian disaster for civilians.
He added that the operation of ambulances is threatened due to exhaustion of necessary spare parts, and called on the international community to urgently intervene to stop the ongoing massacre against residents of the Gaza Strip.
