Gaza Civil Defence: Israel carried out deliberate massacre of Shaaban family without warning, exposing blatant international double standards

The spokesman for the Civil Defense in Gaza said Israeli forces committed a horrific massacre against the Shaaban family in which 11 people were killed, including children and women, as they went to check on their home in the Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City.
He said the family had not crossed any “red lines” or restricted areas and there was nothing to indicate a threat that would justify targeting them, noting that Israeli forces could have issued warnings or used tear gas instead of resorting to direct killing.
He said painful scenes emerged after the strike, including two children from the family being mauled by stray dogs, amid delays in the arrival of rescue teams due to ongoing shelling.
The Civil Defense strongly criticized the international community’s double standard in handling the bodies of Israeli soldiers, while completely ignoring the plight of Palestinian prisoners and the bodies of Palestinians killed and trapped under the rubble.
