Gaza Health Ministry says 66 killed, 345 wounded in 24 hours; total death toll tops 63,000

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said on Saturday the toll from the ongoing Israeli assault on the territory since Oct. 7, 2023 has risen to 63,371 killed and 159,835 wounded.

The ministry said hospitals received 66 killed in the past 24 hours, including four whose bodies were recovered from under the rubble, and 345 wounded, while ambulance and civil defence teams remain unable to reach many victims trapped under debris and on the roads.

According to the ministry’s statement, the toll of killed and wounded since the start of the large-scale assault on March 18, 2025 stands at 11,240 killed and 47,794 wounded.

Regarding casualties from strikes on aid convoys, the ministry said 15 were killed and 206 wounded in recent hours as a result of strikes on convoys “Livelihood”, bringing the total killed in this type of attack to 2,218 and more than 16,434 wounded.

Hospitals in the Strip also recorded 10 new deaths due to famine and malnutrition, including three children, bringing the total deaths from famine to 332, including 124 children.
