Hundreds of students in Israel protest for release of prisoners

Hundreds of students across Israel demonstrated as the new school year opened, demanding the return of Israeli prisoners held by the resistance in Gaza.

Hundreds of Israeli students closed the “HaOgen” junction, and students held signs reading: “No education without the hostages.”

Participants said the demonstrations were intended to assert society’s right to know the fate of the prisoners and to ensure their release as quickly as possible, stressing the importance of continued public pressure on the authorities to achieve that.
