Israel gives Hamas 24 hours to hand over additional bodies

The Hebrew-language channel Reshet Kan said on Monday evening that Hamas is holding the bodies of abductees and has not yet handed them over to Israel.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ armed wing, handed over the bodies of four abductees out of 28 still being held by it.
The channel said the agreement stipulates that all the bodies in its possession must be handed over.
It added that Israel is pressing mediators to resolve the issue of returning the bodies and has set a goal of making progress on the matter within the next 24 hours.
An Israeli delegation tasked with implementing the agreement is currently in Sharm el-Sheikh to continue talks on the issue.
An Israeli source familiar with the matter said: “Things were clear, but only now are we seriously discussing options for a response.”
According to the source, Israel currently does not have sufficient effective leverage.
Earlier on Monday, President Donald Trump said there are bodies whose location is unknown and that a joint team from several parties will search for them.
