Israeli broadcaster: Internal tensions rise amid security warnings and calls to halt operations

The Israeli public broadcaster said families of those held by the resistance have asked the army not to carry out any military operations to free them, fearing for their lives amid ongoing escalation.

It said security has been tightened around Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Foreign Minister Israel Katz and several other ministers, in anticipation of possible responses from the Houthi group following their recent threats.

It added that the negotiating team was not invited to the most recent cabinet meeting, with Netanyahu refraining from discussing any details related to a prisoner-exchange deal at this time.
