Israeli forces closed the entrances to Sinjil and Nabi Salih north of Ramallah on Friday.
Local sources said Israeli forces have kept the Nabi Salih entrance northwest of Ramallah closed with a metal gate since Thursday evening, forcing residents to use long, circuitous detours.
The sources said this entrance serves the villages of Bani Zeid al-Gharbiyah (Beit Rima, Deir Ghassana, Kafr Ein and Qarawa), as well as the city of Salfit and some of its surrounding villages.
Israeli forces also closed this morning the metal gate erected at the entrance to the town of Sinjil, preventing residents from passing.
According to a report issued by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission in September, the total number of military checkpoints and metal gates installed by the Israeli army in the West Bank has reached 910, including both checkpoints and gates, of which 83 gates were installed since the start of 2025, and 247 metal gates were installed after October 7, 2023.
