Israeli official says Hamas misidentified a body, hopes more bodies will be released today

Hebrew Channel 12 reported, citing an Israeli official, that evidence indicates Hamas mistakenly identified one of the bodies that was recently handed over, saying the error was not intentional.

The official said investigations are ongoing to confirm the identity of the body, adding: “We hope to release more bodies today,” referring to the ongoing exchange of remains under the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, which recently took effect.
