Israeli security officials say it could take days to determine the outcome of the Qatar operation

Al-Khamisa News Network - Gaza

Israeli Army Radio said security and intelligence agencies in Tel Aviv are still assessing the results of the strike that targeted a site in the Qatari capital Doha, with estimates that the clarification process could take several days.

Security sources said preliminary information suggests several Hamas leaders were at the targeted site and that some may have been wounded in the strike, although no official confirmation has been issued. Hamas, for its part, categorically denied reports that any of its leaders were wounded or killed, saying all members of the political bureau are safe.

So far, Israeli authorities have refrained from commenting directly on the nature of the operation or who carried it out, saying only that intelligence assessments are still under review to determine whether the attack had any real impact on the movement’s leadership structure.

Widespread Arab condemnation

The strike prompted angry reactions across the region, with both Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates issuing strong statements of condemnation, calling the strike a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and a direct threat to security and stability in the region. The two capitals also warned of the danger of widening the conflict beyond the borders of Palestine, stressing the need to respect international law and not target Arab states.

The development comes as the region experiences rising tensions amid nearly two years of war in the Gaza Strip, increasing fears of the conflict spilling into a broader escalation.
