Israel Hayom reported that the Israeli cabinet held a lengthy session lasting about six hours, devoted to presenting detailed war plans against the Gaza Strip.
During the discussions, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for a vote to reject any potential partial agreement, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu replied: “There is no need for such a vote, because a partial agreement is not on the table,” stressing that the main objective is “dismantling Hamas.”
Those remarks come amid continued military escalation on the outskirts of Gaza City, with reports saying Israel’s military has intensified air and ground operations in preparation for a new phase of the war that includes taking full control of the Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu also said Israel would not accept any settlement that does not guarantee the elimination of security threats from Gaza, asserting that “defeating Hamas is a precondition for freeing the hostages and ensuring Israel’s security.”
