Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the Palestinian people have been subjected to grave and ongoing injustice for more than 80 years, adding that history will not forgive international silence over what is happening in Gaza, which he described as an ongoing campaign of extermination.
He called for an immediate ceasefire and urgent action to end the Israeli occupation and liberate Palestine, saying justice can only be achieved by ending Palestinian suffering and enabling Palestinians to exercise their rights.
Sharif welcomed the growing wave of international recognition of a Palestinian state, calling it an important step toward achieving justice.
Commenting on the Israeli strike that targeted the Qatari capital Doha, he described it as a flagrant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and announced his country’s full solidarity with the Qatari leadership and people.
