Qatar says Israel’s apology for Doha attack is Netanyahu’s admission of guilt

Al-Khamisa News Network - Gaza

Qatar Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid al-Ansari said Israel’s apology for the strike targeting Doha constitutes an admission of guilt by the Israeli prime minister and represents a guarantee that it will not be repeated in the future.

Al-Ansari told the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera: “The apology to Qatar was a first step, and the most important thing is the security assurances provided by the United States and Israel’s commitment not to attack our country again. The apology, even if symbolic, represents an admission of guilt by Netanyahu, and therefore it is part of a commitment not to attack us again and is a fundamental condition for us.”

Al-Ansari noted that after the situation was resolved, Qatar resumed, at the request of the United States, negotiations with Hamas as a mediator.
