Settlers attack house south of Hebron, burn vehicle

Israeli settlers attacked a Palestinian home in the village of Susya, south of Hebron, on Saturday morning, setting a vehicle on fire and causing panic in the area.

Local sources said a group of settlers from the Susya settlement attacked on Saturday morning the home of resident Yousef Mousa, located in the Wadi al-Rakhim hamlet adjacent to the village of Susya in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron. They burned one of his vehicles and smashed the windows of his house.
In the Khirbet Umm al-Khair hamlet in Masafer Yatta, settlers on Saturday morning cut down olive trees and assaulted residents of the hamlet.

Israeli occupation forces and settlers carried out a total of 2,215 attacks during last September, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.

The commission said in a report on Friday that the occupation army carried out 1,725 attacks, while settlers carried out 490 attacks, concentrated mainly in the governorates of: Hebron (463 attacks), Ramallah (417), and Nablus (309 attacks).

The number of settlers in West Bank settlements is estimated at about 770,000, “concentrated in 180 settlements and 256 settlement outposts, of which 136 are agricultural and grazing outposts”.
