Israeli police arrested 38 Israeli demonstrators on Sunday who participated in the general strike and demonstrations demanding an end to the war.
Israeli police have arrested 38 protesters since this morning on charges of disorderly conduct, stating, "We will not tolerate unrest and will take strict action against anyone who violates the law and disrupts public order."
Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Israeli police used water cannons after protesters attempted to block a number of streets and tunnels.
Since Sunday morning, large areas of Israel have witnessed a widespread strike and large protests led by the families of those killed in the war and those detained in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported Sunday morning that "large segments of Israelis are on strike, demonstrating, and blocking major roads across the country."
