Trump’s Gaza plan: $5,000 cash grant, rent assistance and food aid to displace residents

Al-Khamisa News Network - Gaza

Trump plan for the Gaza Strip.. The Washington Post revealed on Sunday an internal 38‑page document outlining the contours of President Donald Trump’s administration’s plan for the Gaza Strip, titled “The Day After Plan”. The plan centers on a mass evacuation of Gaza’s residents and transforming the Strip into a luxury tourist zone and a hub for advanced technology under direct American administration.

U.S. administration for ten years

According to the newspaper, the plan proposes placing the Gaza Strip under a U.S. trusteeship for no less than 10 years, during which Palestinian factions would be disarmed and administrative powers transferred from Israel to a multinational U.S.-international trusteeship authority. The authority is likened to U.S. trust funds established in Pacific islands after World War II.

Displacing more than two million Palestinians

The document stipulates the evacuation of all residents of the Strip, numbering more than two million people, ““voluntarily”” either to third countries in the region or to limited areas within the Strip itself.

Under the plan, every Palestinian who chooses to leave would receive:

The plan also includes offering so‑called “digital tokens” (Digital Tokens) that represent future ownership bonds for apartments in smart cities to be built in Gaza, or that can be redeemed as financial credit to start a new life outside the Strip.

Smart cities and luxury tourism

The U.S. vision includes constructing between six and eight AI‑driven smart cities within the Gaza Strip, alongside resorts and entertainment projects under the name “the Middle Eastern Riviera”, which the document describes as turning the Strip from a “conflict hotspot” into a center for advanced technologies and luxury tourism.

Motives for “voluntary” migration

The plan says that displacing Palestinians from the Strip represents a cheaper option than keeping them in Gaza, noting that each Palestinian who leaves would save the trust fund about $23,000 compared with the cost of temporary housing and living services inside the Strip.

International participation

The Washington Post says the plan would include participation by Arab and regional states alongside major international firms, through a “large trust fund” dedicated to rebuilding Gaza and accelerating its economic transformation.
