U.S., Egyptian, Qatari and Turkish leaders sign comprehensive document to end Gaza war

The Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit on Monday evening saw the signing of a comprehensive document to end the war in Gaza, attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, U.S. President Donald Trump, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

In his remarks at the summit, U.S. President Donald Trump thanked the participating leaders for their support for the initiative, saying the new document “sets out clear rules and procedures to halt the war and strengthen stability in the region.”

Trump added, “We signed agreements with Israel and Hamas, and things are proceeding as planned: hostages were released on schedule, and work is underway to recover the bodies of the dead.”

The summit is being held under the co-chairmanship of Presidents al-Sisi and Trump, with participation from 30 countries and regional and international organizations, marking the signing of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. The document aims to end the ongoing war, enhance prospects for peace, and open a new chapter of security and stability in the Middle East.

This step comes as part of the U.S. administration’s vision to achieve a comprehensive settlement of the conflict and to advance the regional and international peace process.
