UNRWA warns intensified Israeli assault on Gaza City could displace one million

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned that an intensification of the Israeli military operation in Gaza City would put about one million people at risk of being forcibly displaced again.

The agency said any further escalation would exacerbate humanitarian suffering in the Strip, particularly amid spreading famine, collapsing infrastructure, and the population’s inability to secure basic needs.
