UNRWA warns intensified Israeli assault on Gaza City threatens to displace one million people

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned that an intensification of the Israeli military operation in Gaza City would put around one million people at risk of being forcibly displaced again.

The agency said any further escalation would exacerbate humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip, particularly amid the spread of famine, collapsing infrastructure and the population’s inability to secure basic necessities.
