US Ambassador Supports Settlement Construction in E1: “We Will Not Tell Israel What to Do”

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee expressed his country's position on Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich's announcement regarding settlement plans in the E1 area east of occupied Jerusalem.
“We will not dictate to Israel what to do, and we will not interfere — it would be strange to say that others can live in this area but Israelis cannot,” Huckabee said.
This statement comes after Smotrich announced the Israeli occupation government's intention to proceed with settlement projects in an area considered sensitive by international bodies due to its potential impact on the territorial contiguity of the West Bank.
