World Food Programme: Half a million people in Gaza on the brink of famine
Al-Khamisa News Network - Gaza

The World Food Programme has warned of a worsening humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, confirming that half a million people are at risk of famine due to the ongoing blockade and Israeli military escalation.
The program explained that despite the efforts made to deliver humanitarian aid to the Strip, the volume of aid entering does not meet the minimum daily needs of Gaza's residents, who are experiencing tragic and unprecedented conditions.
The UN program stressed that a ceasefire is the only way to expand aid distribution and ensure safe access to affected groups, particularly in the northern regions, where the situation is catastrophic.
This warning comes amid the ongoing blockade of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip since March 2, which has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis and threatened the lives of hundreds of thousands of civilians, particularly children, women, and the elderly.
