Israeli military radio on Friday disclosed details of opening the Rafah land crossing as part of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
According to the radio, it will allow the return of Gaza residents who left the strip via the Rafah crossing.
The return of Palestinians will begin only after a mechanism is established with the Egyptians and the criteria, the number of people, and the entire process are determined.
It said Gaza residents will be allowed to exit to Egypt via the Rafah crossing under the same mechanism as the January 2025 agreement, after Israel’s approval, and under inspection and supervision by a European Union delegation.
There will be no specific limit on travelers from Gaza to Egypt.
It indicated that 600 aid trucks will be brought in daily by the United Nations, accredited international organizations and the private sector. The trucks will include food, medical supplies, shelter equipment, fuel and cooking gas.
Truck movement will be unrestricted from the south of the strip to the north via two routes, Salah al-Din and al-Rashid.
